What does it cost?

You will pay Afterpay in four instalments as per the payment schedule in the Afterpay app (available on the Apple Store and Google Play).

The first instalment at the time you purchase, and then the remainder is due every two weeks. The instalments are interest-free and there are no feeds when you pay on time. They send through regular reminders and alerts, to help you avoid missing a payment. The only fees associated with Afterpay are for late payments.

Is there a minimum spend?

Generally not, but some stores set a minimum order value like $50 or $100. Not all retailers do this, so it’s always best to check the T&C’s on the retailers website to clarify.

Is there a spending limit with Afterpay?

The amount you are able to spend generally changes depending on how you use your account. Afterpay promotes responsible spending so it is conditional on a range of factors. Typically it is $1000, however this can be less or more. If you make your payments on time, and have been with them for a while, you may find your spending limit will increase to $1,500.

How many orders can I have?

When you first sign up to the payment service, you’ll only be able to have 1 order approved in the first 24 hours. Trying to make lots of orders right away is typically a red flag, so it’s best to avoid this. With a little patience, over time you’ll be able to pay off multiple orders at the same time.

What if I haven’t received my goods?

We recommend that you get in touch with the merchant you purchased from and request an expected delivery date. Many stores will also provide tracking details to help you see where your parcel is currently.
